ServiceNow Security Operations

4.90 of 10 on the nine published rows. 12th of 12 covered, 12th of 14 scored. SOAR bundled with ITSM. Scores read 3 November 2026.

ServiceNow Security Operations is Security Incident Response and exposure management inside the ServiceNow platform, not a standalone SOAR. Its Q1 2026 release adds bulk incident linking, read-only sharing with outside parties and an AI integration builder. It ranks last of the twelve profiled because five rows are not documented on the pages read.

What it is

ServiceNow Security Operations connects existing security tools to prioritise and respond to vulnerabilities and incidents inside the ServiceNow platform. The product page lists Security Incident Response in the Incident Management, Cyber Risk and Now Assist solutions, so a buyer needs the platform. ServiceNow agreed in December 2025 to buy Armis for about USD 7.75 billion in cash, and one report says it closed Veza in March 2026. Neither was checked against a ServiceNow page. A press report of 2026-08-05 says a Tier 2 SOC AI Specialist is scheduled for December 2026.

The playbook artefact is a ServiceNow process or flow. Security Incident Response playbooks are either process-based, built in Process Automation Designer, also called Workflow Studio, or flow-based, built in Flow Designer. The playbook component works only with Process Automation Designer processes. Subflows in the Security Operations Spoke, such as Ransomware, can be called from flow playbooks. The official page read does not describe how a playbook is exported. A third-party guide describes an update set exported and imported as XML. No cross-vendor importer is documented.

The vendor describes itself this way: ServiceNow Security Operations connects existing security tools to prioritize and respond to vulnerabilities and security incidents, inside the ServiceNow platform. It uses AI agents and workflow orchestration for incident response. servicenow.com, read 2026-11-03 (vendor claim)

What the public pages did not say

  • No product price on the product page. ServiceNow pricing is not stated.
  • WebFetch and curl returned 403 for the product page. The text was read through Firecrawl, and customer names come from the page text and logo alt text.
  • Ownership: this record is a ServiceNow product line, not a separately owned company. Parent is recorded as ServiceNow.
  • Armis completion and Veza close are from secondary reports. Neither was checked against a ServiceNow newsroom page.
