MCP server
An MCP server exposes tools to AI agents through the Model Context Protocol. In a SOAR it lets an agent call a platform's actions or a third party's tools in a standard way. Ask which actions it exposes, how it authenticates and what it logs.
What MCP server means
MCP shifts the integration question from connectors to tool permissions. An agent that can call a tool can use it, so scope matters.
Tines lists an MCP server in its docs and Swimlane says Turbine supports third-party MCP server tools. Neither page read describes scope or logging.
MCP server in Tines's own words
The Tines docs index lists an MCP server section alongside stories, actions, credentials, cases, records, dashboards and self-hosted deployment. Tines documentation, read 2026-11-03
