Mate Gamebooks reach general availability
26 August 2026
SiliconANGLE reported on 2026-08-26 that Mate Security launched Gamebooks, structured procedures that govern how AI agents run investigations. Mate's blog of 2026-08-27 describes a Gamebook as investigative intent and not vendor API calls, with Flows making the tool calls. SiliconANGLE also reports that teams can convert existing playbooks into investigative intent, and a USD 35M Series A led by Canaan in July 2026.
The pages leave gaps. No page names a source SOAR, an accepted file format or what fails to convert, and no export of a Gamebook is documented. No public technical docs were found, and every description of Gamebooks comes from Mate or trade press.

What it changes for a buyer
Mate's authoring row scores 7.0 as partial, and its migration row 6.0. General availability makes the product testable, and it does not make the migration claim checkable. Ask which source formats it reads.
