ServiceNow press report puts a Tier 2 SOC AI Specialist in December
5 August 2026
CX Today reported on 2026-08-05 that ServiceNow's Agentic Incident Response includes a Tier 2 SOC AI Specialist. The report says it investigates incidents and runs multi-stage response plans, including enrichment, correlation, containment and blocking, and escalates higher-risk decisions to analysts. It says the specialist is scheduled for release in December 2026.
This is a press report, not a ServiceNow page. ServiceNow's own product page claims incidents close seven times faster with AI agents, a vendor claim with no method. We read both on 2026-11-03. Neither tells a buyer what the specialist cannot do, and nothing ships before December.

What it changes for a buyer
ServiceNow's AI row stays at 7.0 on the rubric, which scores documented features, and a scheduled feature is not one. Ask for limits and a release date in writing before you count it.
